LEBANON, NEW HAMPSHIRE!!

Hello my family that I miss SOOOO MUCH! I'm here and I can't believe it! But I have to fill you in on the rest of my time at the MTC and such. Um, I sang in the choir for the first time EVER that the Tuesday Devotional was held in the Marriott Center, very cool experience! We sang Called to Serve of course. My last few days at the MTC were GREAT. I didn't really want to leave, haha. I ended up liking it a lot more than I thought I would. My district was fantastic and funny and I loved spending time with them. Our district was a pilot group for new things they're trying out, that's why we taught so many times. I'm glad we did though, because it gave me a TON of practice.

We flew out of SLC very early Monday morning and arrived in Manchester early evening. President Wilkey and his wife were there to meet us. They are soooo nice. Sister Wilkey had made Cafe Rio salads for dinner, so that was AWESOME. Also this group of missionaries was the biggest they've ever had come in to the NHMM, 29 baby! 19 sisters and 10 elders. Some of the sisters and I slept at the Mission Home that night. Tuesday was Transfer Day, so we went to Transfer Meeting and I found out my companion and area! My companion is...oh it's so funny! Her name is Sister Brown too! EVERYONE makes jokes about it, haha. It's funny, I like it. She's awesome and we get along really well. She's only been out for six weeks, so we are definitely learning together. It's been pretty good though. Our area is Lebanon, New Hampshire. We live basically in the middle of nowhere, haha. I do LOVE the trees though. Also, we're opening the area for sisters so that's been pretty crazy too.

We don't have any investigators yet, but we're trying! We've visited a lot of less active members. The Tinei family (they're from the Marshall Islands) did a cookout for us and we shared a little message about the Restoration. They are very nice. They didn't come to church, but we hope to see them there soon. Church was really good! The ward here is great. They asked me to play the piano in Primary, the kids were so cute. One red head kid named Isaac was talking to his teacher and said, "I'm a famous singer. I'm a famous dancer. I'm a famous cellist." It made me laugh pretty hard. And this little girl named Sara told me that she doesn't like to snuggle. It was just so random and funny. Sister Brown and I taught the lesson in Relief Society about Missionary Work and how members can help. OH and I also heard that song by Celine Dion that's called "How do I live without you?" in a gas station. I thought of y'all :)

Well, I've got to go. Time is a-ticking. I LOVE EACH OF YOU SO MUCH! I pray for you daily and hope you can feel my love :)

LOVE-E-O-SA! Sister Brown

Email from the MTC

HELLO!!!!!!

I MISS YOU SO MUCH! I know I've already written you and told you that a bunch of times, but it's the real deal. Noelle and Joe's emails made me tear up. They're just the cutest. So, I arrived here at the MTC, my host, Sister White took me to my residence hall and then my classroom. I live in my classroom more than my actual bedroom haha. I met the other Elders and Sisters in my district, we went to orientation and I said the closing prayer. And yes, Acacia, I do live in the nicer rooms. My host kept telling me how nice they were and I was like, "Perfect! Now I can tell Acacia." :) As many of you already know my companion for the first day, Sister Mayle, left the MTC on Wednesday night because her brother passed away. I could not keep my composure as well as she did. She is so strong. Now I'm in a trio with Sister Hoffman (from Kaysville) and Sister Tait (from Draper). They are really sweet. We went to this seminar thing on Thursday called People & Your Purpose. It was really good and uplifting. Opened my eyes to a lot of things. Sorry I'm being so vague about everything, I only have 8 minutes and 36 seconds left! Also on Thursday, I taught my first lesson without any preparation time. SCARY! At least it was only ten minutes long :) Friday we got two progressing investigators. They are just actors, but it definitely feels real. We've already taught them each three times. And we've taught the first lesson probably 6-9 times already. They really start you off fast, but it's good. Sunday was good! We watched Music & the Spoken Word, had Relief Society with Sister Clegg from the General Relief Society Presidency. Had a Sacrament Meeting and went on a walk to the temple and took TOO many pictures. I'm technologically impaired, so I'll get those pictures to you once I'm out in New Hampshire, so the next time I write it'll be the 24th. Also our layover in Detroit isn't long so I'll have to call you in SLC. It'll probably be between 6:00-7:00 a.m. so y'all BEST be awake. Tell Dallin if he's not awake I'm going to be VERY angry at him! Well the clock is ticking! I LOVE YOU ALL SOOOOOO MUCH! The gospel is so true!

Sister Brown

PS Also when I call it'll be Monday, the 17th. Thought that might be important. LOVEOSA!

Sweet note from Sister Hailey Mayle

Below is a very sweet message that I received from Angela's first companion in the MTC. Her brother is the young BYU student who was hiking on the Y Mountain. We send our sincerest prayers and love to them at this extremely difficult time. I cannot imagine what their family is going through but I truly do believe that they will be blessed with ministering angels as they go forward!

Hailey Mayle "Your daughter is wonderful! She was very helpful and supportive to me – I was supposed to be her companion in the MTC and I was able to be for a few hours, but my brother passed away so I was pulled out for a couple weeks, and I’ll just have to hope I can be her companion in the field in a month or so. Thank you for raising such a wonderful daughter!"
